We investigate the ways in which mothers and fathers are involved in the lives of their children and the influence they have on their development and well-being.
This line of research investigates the ways in which mothers and fathers are involved in the lives of their children and the influence they have on their development and well-being. The bidirectional nature of intrafamilial relationships, with reciprocal effects between adults and children / adolescents is acknowledged. Likewise, specific characteristics of family members and the family context that influence the way that mothers and fathers are involved with their children are considered. This line of research focuses on three moments in the life cycle that are associated with relevant changes, such as: the transition to motherhood / parenthood, childhood, and adolescence.
