Soledad Coo Calcagni

Researcher, Attachment and Emotional Regulation Center

Soledad studied Psychology at the Universidad Católica de Chile, she has a Master in Clinical Psychology by the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, and a PhD in Psychology by the University of Melbourne, Australia. She is currently a researcher at the Centro de Apego y Regulación Emocional (CARE) at the Universidad del Desarrollo. 
Her research focuses on perinatal mental health. She has been involved in several research projects, which have adressed the relationship between maternal symptoms of depression and anxiety during the perinatal period and the disruption of sleep patterns due to pregnancy and infant care, prevention of perinatal distress in primary health settings, development and validation of a scale to screen for perinatal anxiety, and the development and evaluation of a group intervention targeting maternal mental health problemas and the mother-infant relationship.
