Jaime Silva Concha

Full Professor.

Psychology graduate (U. Central), Master of psychotherapy (U. de Barcelona) and PhD in Psychobiology (U. Complutense de Madrid), with wide experience in research. Its main research program is related with alimentary behavior and its psychobiological concomitant factors. In this context, he has received funds of the main national agencies that support investigation (Iniciativa Milenio, FONDECYT and FONIS, between others), which has result in different scientific publications, participation in national and international congresses. He participated in the construction of alimentary behavior programs and an approximation and intervention model for problematic alimentary behavior and obese patients. In this context, one of his main conceptual tools has been the study and comprehension of reactivity to stress, where recently he has research in association with the Instituto Milenio de Investigación en Depresión y Personalidad. Also, his latest works has been oriented to understand in sensitivity to stress as a central dimension of the comprehension and intervention of different manifestations of deviated paths of human development (psychopathology).

On other side, Jaime has been editor of scientific journals, director of postgraduate programs (Masters and Certificates), and member of evaluation committees at FONDECYT, FONIS, BECA CHILE and FONDEQUIP, between other academic activities. Currently he is head of the Centre of Attachment and Emotion Regulation.
