Dr. Jaime Silva, Director of the Center of Attachment and Emotion Regulation (CARE) of the School of Psychology at Universidad del Desarrollo, was selected in the last Regular Fondecyt contest of the National Commission of Scientific and Technological Research (Conicyt),  to receive funding for the project “From Metacognitive Efficiency to Interpersonal Sensitivity: An Introduction to the Interpersonal Mind from Social Cognition. 2019-2021” (FONDECYT: 1191708).

The Dean of the School of Psychology at UDD, Teresita Serrano, congratulated Dr. Silva, comenting that “when reviewing the list of the selected projects we can see how the School of Psychology at UDD is reaching a strong position in terms of obtaining research grants.

Dr. Silva expressed his gratitude to Dr. Gabriel Reyes by saying that “in my case, I also congratulate Dr. Gabriel Reyes, we have been building a long-term project in stress and metacognition that started when Gabriel was still a PhD student and is already in his second FONDECYT. Without Gabriel, this project would not exist. ”

Universidad del Desarrollo obtained five research grants, two of which belong to our School of Psychology. This year, a total of 518 grants were awarded nationally in various thematic areas.
